Het Peereboomhuis werd genoemd naar de bewoners tijdens de 19de eeuw, nl. de familie van den Peereboom. Het werd gebouwd in 1726 en is het oudste huis van Ledegem. Het is sinds 1974 beschermd als monument, de tuin is een geklasseerd landschap. Tegen de zuidelijke gevel is een zonnewijzer aangebracht. Op de woonmuur zien we leien met het lelie-insigne, kenmerkend voor de Franse overheersing.
