The Rheinaue Walsum nature reserve in the Duisburg district of Walsum and the city of Dinslaken forms the southern tip of the "Lower Lower Rhine" wetland. It stretches on the right bank of the Rhine from the northern port of Walsum to the north to the mouth of the Emscher and also includes a smaller part on the left bank of the Rhine in the northern area.
