The Pohnshalligkoog, colloquially also known as Pohns or Pohnskoog, is the youngest inhabited koog of the Nordstrand peninsula. It belongs to the district of the municipality of Nordstrand.
The Pohnshallig, a former hallig, was torn away from the island of Alt-Nordstrand by the Burchard flood in 1634. After formerly inhabited land areas were gradually dyked again in the 18th and 19th centuries and the island expanded piece by piece towards the east, the Pohnshallig was finally diked in 1924.
