The Sivry-Rance National Forest currently covers an area of 523 hectares. It is surrounded by a forest of more than 1,000 hectares that extends north and west of the village of Rance.
The forests of the national forest are crossed by the N53 and the Ravel and are therefore easily accessible. The Rance state forest is part of the Forêt du Pays de Chimay forest massif.
