AC Schnitzer har siden 1987 været et mærke under KOHL automobile GmbH, en bil-tuner med base i Aachen for køretøjer fra BMW-koncernen med deres mærker Mini, Land Rover og Jaguar. AC'et i mærkets navn står for "Aachen". Virksomheden har fælles rødder med Schnitzer Motorsport, men er en økonomisk og juridisk selvstændig virksomhed. Fremstillingen af delene sker gennem industrivirksomheder i henhold til AC Schnitzers retningslinjer.
