Først blev der anlagt en park her, derefter fulgte et tehav, og i 1915 blev landstedet bygget, som det stadig ser ud i dag. Det har med sin halvcirkelformede portico med de fire store ioniske søjler noget af stilarten som Det Hvide Hus i Washington, der er bygget i samme stil.
Landstedet, staldbygningen og parcellen har været på listen over fredede bygninger siden 1998.
Det samlede godskompleks har et areal på over 200 ha. Parken i den umiddelbare nærhed af huset er ikke tilgængelig.
