Neum ist ein Ort und die zugehörige Gemeinde mit knapp 5000 Einwohnern im Süden von Bosnien und Herzegowina. Der Neum-Korridor bildet den einzigen Zugang des Landes zum Meer.Neum liegt an der Adria in einer kleinen, von der Halbinsel Pelješac geschützten Bucht. Der Ort hat die höchste durchschnittliche Jahrestemperatur in ganz Bosnien und Herzegowina. Er liegt in einer an ihrer schmalsten Stelle fünf Kilometer breiten Landzunge, die den südlichsten Teil Kroatiens um Dubrovnik und bis zur Grenze nach Montenegro vom übrigen Kroatien trennt.
