Die Hoëgne ist der wichtigste Nebenfluss der Weser und entspringt auf dem Venn Plateau nahe Baraque Michel. Das Bachtal der Hoëgne weist ein bemerkenswertes botanisches Interesse, nicht nur wegen der dort wachsenden Leberblümchen, Moose und Farne auf, sondern auch wegen seines floralen Reichtums.
Der Wanderweg wurde Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts angelegt und von Königin Marie-Henriette eingeweiht. Beim Spazieren entdecken Sie die hundertjährige Fußgängerbrücke „Le Centenaire“, einen Abschnitt der Hoëgne, der bis nach Belleheid zu einem Wildbach wird und zwei Wasserfälle entlang des Flusses, die die Namen von König Leopold II. und seiner Ehefrau tragen...
