Steglitz ist ein Berliner Ortsteil im sechsten Verwaltungsbezirk Steglitz-Zehlendorf, der auf das historische brandenburgische Dorf Steglitz zurückgeht .
Steglitz liegt im Südwesten Berlins, am Übergang zwischen den dicht bebauten Innenstadtbezirken und den suburbanen Villen- und Eigenheimvororten. Steglitz ist traditionell bürgerlich geprägt, zahlreiche Wohngebiete entstanden in der industriellen Epoche in der Umgebung als Villenkolonie, und bis heute liegen die üblichen sozialgeografischen Indikatoren über dem Berliner Durchschnitt.
