Er grenzt an Bad Wilhelmshöhe, Harleshausen, Rothenditmold und den Vorderen Westen. Kirchditmold ist im Jahr 1906 zu Kassel eingemeindet worden. Auch heute weist dieser Stadtteil dorfähnliche Strukturen auf, so befindet sich die Kirche Kirchditmold im Zentrum des Stadtteils, in dem auch die Einkaufsstraßen Teich- und Zentgrafenstraße liegen.
