A visit to the brand new Sugar Museum should certainly not be missing from the program. In this museum we go in search of the 'lost taste of sugar'. Colorful animated characters call for the source of the mischief. It will be a journey through stories, sounds and atmospheric images from the colourful world of sugar.
The museum comprises several sections, spread over the 3 floors of the former city halls. All aspects are covered: the fascinating social history, the beet harvest, the honey production of the bees, to all possible applications of sugar. In the attic of the museum, a space is provided for temporary exhibitions, set up for a period of one year.
The Sugar Museum uses the latest museum techniques. A visit is done on the basis of an audio guide.
