Megalithic walk in Wéris

Wéris is a village in the Belgian municipality of Durbuy, in the province of Luxembourg. The wooded Wéris is one of the 25 places that have been chosen as the most beautiful villages in Wallonia. The village is known for its megaliths (mega = large, lithos = stone): two dolmens, the dolmen of Wéris and the dolmen of Oppagne, and several menhirs, including the menhir Danthine and the menhir of Oppagne (Durbuy).

Accessible by public transport: train Liège-Marloie (get off from Bomal) continue the TEC - bus line 11/3 (stop Quatre Bras) direction MELREUX (get off WERIS Eglise)

Departure and arrival: Place de la Pierre, Wéris.

Parking: Place de la Pierre behind the church and Place Arsène Soreil in front of the Maison du Mégalithe.

Signage: GR signage (GR 57- Dolmen Wéris variant of 7 km or 13 km) and white plaques with yellow, red, blue, green crosses corresponding to walks of different lengths (5 to 11 km) traced by the Megalithic House, Place Arsène Soreil, 7, 6940 Wéris
