À Villers-La-Ville se trouve l'"Abbaye Notre-Dame De Villers". Ce sont les ruines de ce qui a été une abbaye cistercienne. Au fond de la vallée de la Thyle, qui a ici creusé un paysage presque ardennais, se trouvent les vestiges à admirer.
L'abbaye a été fondée en 1146 par Saint-Bernard, qui a été canonisé, et elle est devenue au fil des ans l'une des plus uniques abbayes de tout l'ouest de l'Europe. La ruine s'étend sur plus de 15 ha et la brasserie du 13ème siècle fait partie des bâtiments monastiques les plus impressionnants de Belgique.
