La chiesa parrocchiale neoromanica, situata a un'altezza moderata, fu costruita tra il 1870 e il 1874 su progetto dell'architetto Limburgese Herman Jaminé. Il cimitero originariamente circostante, non più utilizzato dal 1888-1889, fu sgomberato all'inizio del XX secolo; gli ultimi muri del cimitero scomparvero durante la Prima Guerra Mondiale, quando Piazza del Comune fu livellata. L'attuale muro di recinzione fu costruito nel 1953-54 ed è accentuato da una fila di tigli a sud e a nord. La fila a nord fu abbattuta nel contesto della riqualificazione della Piazza del Comune nel 2016-2017; anche il muro fu demolito su questo lato. Il cimitero fu trasferito a Molenberg lungo la strada Jezus-Eiksesteenweg.
