Founded in 1586, the Müntzthal glassworks became the "Verrerie Royale de Saint-Louis" in 1767 and fourteen years later discovered the secret of crystal production. Renamed "Cristallerie royale de Saint-Louis", the factory introduced the concept of serving glasses for the table with the famous Trianon model. Since then, the factory has been producing crystal pieces every day by master glassmakers and master cutters who are among the "Meilleurs Ouvriers de France". All of them are holders of an irreplaceable, ancestral know-how, enriched from generation to generation.
