Il Grande Nete scorre meravigliosamente attraverso Hulshout e taglia il comune praticamente a metà, con i sottocomuni Houtvenne e Westmeerbeek sulla riva meridionale e Hulshout-centrum sulla riva settentrionale. Le praterie lungo il Grande Nete offrono numerosi angoli pittoreschi. Puoi passeggiare piacevolmente nel bosco di dominio Herenbossen. Nel sottocomune di Westmeerbeek puoi ammirare il castello Ter Borcht (1780), un tempo l'elegante rifugio estivo della famiglia de 't Serclaes.
