Der Frankfurter Stadtwald ist der kommunale Waldbesitz der Stadt Frankfurt am Main. Im engeren Sinne ist er ein 5785 Hektar großes Waldgebiet im Süden Frankfurts, wovon 3866 Hektar innerhalb der Stadtgrenzen liegen. Der Stadtwald südlich des Mains nimmt mit einer Ausdehnung von rund 35 km² etwa 14 % des Stadtgebietes ein. Er ging im 14. Jahrhundert aus einem Teil des historischen Wildbanns Dreieich hervor, einem Bannforst im Besitz der Kaiser des Heiligen Römischen Reiches Deutscher Nation. Dieses Waldgebiet befindet sich seit dem Jahr 1372 im Besitz der Stadt Frankfurt. Heute wird der Wald hauptsächlich für Bildung, Freizeit und Erholung sowie in geringerem Maße weiterhin forst- und landwirtschaftlich genutzt.
