This short circuit allows you to discover the medieval castle of Montcornet in its rich and varied environment, the village of Montcornet, and the wood of Triage de Renwez.

1/ From the church, go up towards the village, leave a path on the right and reach a fork.
2/ Take the path on the right for 300m, then head and arrive at an intersection.
3/ Continue straight for 150m, then turn left (observation of pudding stones, geological curiosities) and walk for 400m.
4/ Turn left, cross the clearing, turn left again, follow the sports field and continue. Keep descending for 50m.
5/ Turn right onto the path of Mélèzes, then turn left and join the D 22.
6/ Follow the D 22 for 30m, cross the road to reach the calvary and take the path laid out by the municipality. It zigzags through the wood, along the edge, crosses the valley (views of Montcornet castle and the Sormonne valley), descends to the small chapel of Sainte-Madelaine surrounded by the cemetery, before going back up to the village.
