La stazione centrale di Stendal è una delle tre stazioni della città di Stendal in Sassonia-Anhalt. È un importante snodo ferroviario per i treni del trasporto regionale ed è anche regolarmente servita da treni Intercity e Intercity-Express. Fino all'orario invernale del 2012, la stazione di Stendal era servita esclusivamente dai treni della Deutsche Bahn. Dal dicembre 2012, la Ostdeutsche Eisenbahn così come, dal 9 dicembre 2018, anche la Hanseatische Eisenbahn e la Abellio Rail Mitteldeutschland servono la stazione.
Il 7 luglio 1849, la città di Stendal ha ricevuto il suo primo collegamento ferroviario, quando la Magdeburg-Wittenbergesche Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft ha inaugurato la linea ferroviaria Magdeburgo–Wittenberge. Questa percorreva il bordo orientale del paese, dove inizialmente si trovava anche la stazione.
