Eerdergenoemd voetpad leidt me, met vuurtoren De Lange Jaap als baken op de achtergrond, naar de Donkere duinen, het enige stuk bos op de route. In dit bos tref je een heel netwerk aan wandelpaadjes rondom een soort eendenmeertje. Het hele gebied onder Huisduinen, met onder andere de Grafelijkheidsuinen, verdient een eigen artikel. Maar op deze wandeling stoten we via dit kleine stuk bos snel weer door richting Julianadorp aan Zee.
