Museo con ricche collezioni di archeologia, arte e storia. La reputazione dell'istituzione si basa sull'eccezionale serie di statue-menhir: scolpite circa 5.000 anni fa, sono le più antiche statue monumentali conosciute in Europa occidentale. Il percorso museale ripercorre la storia di Rouergue dal primo uomo (300.000 anni fa) al XVII secolo. È organizzato su quattro temi principali: le statue-menhir, l'antica Rodez, Rouergue nel Medioevo, il XVI secolo e il Rinascimento. Numerosi strumenti sono messi a disposizione per aiutare i visitatori ad avere un approccio personalizzato alle collezioni con l'aiuto di modelli, disegni, spettacoli audiovisivi o terminali interattivi.
