Esta ruta de senderismo lo lleva a través del Paisaje Nacional Middag-Humsterland. Middag es una antigua península que formó parte del paisaje de mareas hasta el siglo XII. Durante su caminata por la zona encontrará varios vestigios de ello. Por supuesto, los montículos de Ezinge y Feerwerd que estaban habitados antes de nuestra era.
