L’Oberhohenberg est la deuxième plus haute montagne du Jura souabe, à seulement quatre mètres plus basse que le Lemberg. C’est l’un des « dix mille ».
Les ruines à son sommet datent de l’année 1449, lorsque le château d’Oberhohenberg et la ville de Hohenberg, au pied de la montagne, ont été détruits lors d’une querelle locale.
