The Zwinduinen and polders form a beautiful nature reserve of more than 222 hectares. A cross-border walking network was developed here, which you largely use on this walk. Attention: due to expansion works on the Zwingeul, there may be some inconvenience in the immediate vicinity, but the described walk is fully accessible. The starting point is the parking lot at the nature center, Graaf Leon Lippensdreef 8 in Knokke-Heist. You pay 5 euros to park your car for a full day, if you also visit the zwin ! From Knokke station you can also get here by bus 12.
Leave the car park towards the entrance of the nature centre and follow the signs to KP 6 and further KP 7, where you take the road on the right to KP 11. In the first bend of this road you come to an area where you can stroll freely through the dunes. Further on you have a viewing platform and the statue of the hare, which was made in 1990 by the Briton Barry Flanagan and placed here in 1997. It is also called Hospitality, but it is popularly called 't keun. Beautiful view over the Zwingeul and Cadzand.

You now come to the paved dike with many benches. Via the stairs you can go down the dike to look out over the sea from the dune. The walk continues over the dike. A kilometer further, at FP11, take the path on the left to KP 10 (barrier), where you turn sharply right, through a turnstile, towards KP 9. You get into the northern grazing block. Follow the green posts through the dunes. At the next turnstile you cross the gravel road and you arrive at KP 9, where you take another gate towards KP 15. After a beautiful forest you cross the Kleine Vlakte, an area with many grazers. Over a wooden bridge you enter the meadow area of the Paardenmarktbeek. In 1930 a horse racing track was built here, which was used until 1960. At KP 15, follow Graaf Leon Lippensdreef to the right, direction KP 14. Where the road meets the Bronlaan, take the path to the right that turns into a boardwalk.

At FP 14, turn left onto the path, towards KP 4. Cross the Zwinlaan and continue through the meadows to the Bronlaan. Cross diagonally right and follow Astridlaan. At KP 4, turn left into the Konijnendreef with its spacious villas, towards KP 17. Cross the Zoutelaan and continue straight on the Blinckaertlaan. Attention: at the beginning of the Koningsbos you leave the hiking network and take a narrow path through the forest on the left. You are now on the Zwin hiking trail, from which you follow the signposts further through the forest. Please note: the fairly small forest has a lot of paths.

You enter the Eikenlaan and cross it to follow the beautiful footpath parallel to the road on the left. Here we pick up on the network again. At the next fork, follow KP 5 and take the branch to the left. On the Paulusstraat turn left again until you reach the Oosthoekplein after about a hundred meters. Cross the square to the right until FP 5.
