Il Castello di Ainay-le-Vieil è un castello di origini medievali situato nel dipartimento francese di Cher, nella regione del Centro-Valle della Loira, nel comune di Ainay-le-Vieil. Il castello è nella lista dei monumenti storici di Francia.
Messo a punto nell'Alto Medioevo, il Castello di Ainay-le-Vieil si trovava nella zona di confine tra le aree francesi dell'Aquitania e quelle dei re spagnoli. Questa posizione strategica, soprattutto fino alla fine della Guerra dei Cent'Anni, ha reso il castello uno dei principali sistemi difensivi della Francia e spiega le dimensioni del doppio involucro del castello che ne assicurava resistenza e durata durante i conflitti.
