De Locht es una aldea de la parte del municipio de Eksel, al norte de aquí. El 27 de septiembre de 1914, durante una emboscada en De Locht, un húsares alemán fue asesinado por los guerrilleros del General Deschepper. En venganza, los alemanes incendiaron completamente 27 granjas de De Locht. Afortunadamente, no hubo víctimas.
