El Fange de Pansîre forma part del complex dels Fens Spadoises (Spa) que consisteix en torberes i erms repartits entre Sart-lez-Spa i Remouchamps .
Es tracta d'una clariana d'unes deu hectàrees, envoltada de boscos d'avets , als vessants superiors de la vall de l'Amblève, a una altitud d'uns 550 m .
Des d'un punt de vista històric, també val la pena assenyalar la presència de restes d'una pràctica agropastoral anterior, el conreu del sòl després de la crema, en els fragments de "bruc costellat" que queden aquí i allà. També s'explotava torba en alguns llocs.
A causa de la presència de torberes, els camins de senderisme dins/al voltant de la zona estan equipats amb ponts.
