Nuremberg , és una ciutat al districte de Francònia, Mitjana Baviera. Té més de 500.000 habitants, i és la segona ciutat més gran de Baviera, i la catorzena d'Alemanya. L'àrea metropolitana de Nuremberg, juntament amb les seves ciutats veïnes de Fürth, Erlangen i Schwabach, és el centre econòmic i cultural de la Regió d'Europa Metropolitana de Nuremberg i Francònia. El primer ferrocarril alemany es construí entre Nuremberg i Fürth.
