Santa Eugènia és una vila i municipi del Pla de Mallorca. Pren el nom de l'alqueria de Bernat de Santa Eugènia, un petit nucli de població medieval que en època islàmica corresponia a l'alqueria anomenada Benibahari. L'any 1250 es documenta amb el nom complet del seu senyor , mentre que el 1268 ja només apareix com a alqueria de Santa Eugènia.
