Lloseta és una vila i municipi del Raiguer de Mallorca. Limita amb els termes d'Alaró, Mancor de la Vall, Selva, Inca i Binissalem. Situat al vessant sud de la Serra de Tramuntana, la meitat nord del municipi és muntanyosa i la meitat sud és plana.
L'etimologia de Lloseta s'explica com a diminutiu de llosa . Lloseta com a topònim apareix escrit 'Lauzeta' en el llibre del Repartiment de Mallorca, segle XIII.
Cal destacar la Mare de Déu de Lloseta, estàtua de fusta dels segles xii-xiii, la més antiga de Mallorca.
