Cabrera de Mar és un municipi de la comarca del Maresme. Seguint el litoral es troba entre les localitats de Vilassar de Mar i Mataró, tot i que el seu nucli urbà principal és a uns 2,5 km del mar, en una petita vall entre els turons de Burriac i de Montcabrer. A part dels dos municipis citats anteriorment, Cabrera de Mar també limita amb Cabrils i Argentona.
