Lo municipi de Beseit, situat a l'extrem sud-oriental de la comarca del Matarranya, al punt on esta limita amb Terra Alta, Baix Ebre i el Montsià, té una superfície de 96,8 km². És lo segon de la comarca, en extensió, superat solament per Vall-de-roures, amb lo que limita al nord i a l'oest. La resta de límits los estableix amb municipis d'altres comarques, segons una divisòria que és també avui la de les províncies de Terol i Tarragona. Termeneja al sud amb La Sénia, al sud-est amb Tortosa i Alfara de Carles i a l'est amb Arnes.
