Olesa de Montserrat és una vila i municipi de la comarca natural del Montserratí, actualment integrada a la comarca del Baix Llobregat. S'emplaça a uns 30 km de Barcelona i a uns 20 km del Monestir de Montserrat i a uns 15 km de Terrassa. Pertany al partit judicial de Martorell, a l'àmbit funcional metropolità de Barcelona i la seva parròquia s'emmarca dins el bisbat de Sant Feliu de Llobregat.
