Granollers és un municipi de Catalunya, capital i la ciutat més poblada de la comarca del Vallès Oriental.
La Porxada, edifici renaixentista que servia de llotja de gra, n'és l'edifici més emblemàtic. La Porxada es va acabar de construir entre els anys 1586 i 1587 a partir d'un projecte que havia encarregat el Consell de la Vila al mestre Bartomeu Brufalt. L'edifici té unes dimensions de 24 metres de llarg per 15,65 d'ample i està format per 15 columnes d'ordre toscà que sostenen una teulada de quatre vessants.
