Monistrol de Calders és un poble, cap del municipi del mateix nom, de la comarca del Moianès. Fins que el 2015 es va reconèixer la comarca del Moianès va estar adscrit al Bages. És a l'extrem sud-occidental de l'altiplà del Moianès, a prop del Pla de Bages a la zona de Navarcles i Artés, i del massís de Sant Llorenç del Munt, format per la Mola i el Montcau. Eclesiàsticament la seva parròquia és adscrita a l'arxiprestat del Moianès del Bisbat de Vic, i al partit judicial, registre de la propietat i administració d'hisenda de Manresa.
