El 2007 la població de fet de Linars era de 2.068 persones. Hi havia 869 famílies de les quals 184 eren unipersonals , 381 parelles sense fills, 244 parelles amb fills i 60 famílies monoparentals amb fills.

A 414 habitatges hi havia un automòbil i a 414 n'hi havia dos o més.
