El Victoria and Albert Museum és el museu més gran del món d'arts decoratives, considerat en si mateix una obra d'art. Compta amb immensos recursos per als estudiants de disseny, ja que conté la col·lecció nacional d'arts aplicades.
Es va crear el 1852 amb el nom de South Kensington Museum per iniciativa de Henry Cole i va ser rebatejat el 1899 en honor de la reina Victoria i el seu espòs, Albert. Es troba a Londres, entre Cromwell Gardens i la Exhibition Road, a South Kensington, a l'oest de la ciutat. Ocupa un edifici victorià. Té una superfície de 45.000 metres quadrats i 145 galeries. Va sobreviure a la Segona Guerra Mundial amb només uns danys menors causats per les bombes.
