Piacenza ), o Plasència , és una ciutat d'Itàlia a la regió d'Emília-Romanya, província de Piacenza, amb una mica més de 102.404 habitants en el 2013.
Placentia fou el nom clàssic de la ciutat de Piacenza; era una ciutat de la Gàl·lia Cispadana a la riba sud del riu Po just on aquest rep les aigües del Trebbia. Era situada a la via Emília a uns 60 km de Parma. No se sap si hi havia alguna ciutat anteriorment a l'establiment de la colònia romana el 218 aC amb 6000 colons, i amb dret llatí.
