L'església va ser fundada l'any 1552 pel clergue Angelo di Poto en un terreny cedit pel municipi. L'església actual es va construir entre els anys 1746 i 1757, en substitució de l'altra que es trobava al nord-est a la cantonada de la cruïlla de la via SS. Salvatore amb via Trinità.
L'església és d'una sola nau, amb 3 altars i una petita capella . L'elegant i senzill portal crida l'atenció en la façana harmònica amb esglaons .
Entre les obres hi trobem: possiblement draps del segle XVII de la SS. Trinità i dos quadres més (Maria Auxiliadora i Sant Joan Bosco).
