Vlissingen és una ciutat de l'antiga illa de Walcheren, a la província de Zelanda, als Països Baixos. L'1 de gener de 2009 tenia 44.721 habitants repartits en una superfície de 344,98 km² . Limita al nord amb Veere i Middelburg, a l'est Borsele i al sud amb Sluis i Terneuzen.El nom Vlissingen es retroba a Nova York sota la versió anglòfona de Flushing . La ciutat fou el lloc de naixença de l'almirall Michiel de Ruyter.
