La Capella de la Senyora do Resgate va ser construïda a finals del segle XVII i està situada al cor de la zona turística de Viana do Castelo.
Com que està ubicat en un carrer de vianants amb edificis similars, la façana no destaca i pot passar desapercebuda.
Les imatges de l'interior són de Sant Cristòfol, Santa Rita i la Senyora del Resgate, aquesta darrera a l'altar, que està molt bellament decorat.
