Slot Wagrain ligger i den nordlige del af Ebbs, cirka seks kilometer nordøst for Kufstein i Tirol.
Slotet blev første gang nævnt i 1421 som sæde for herrerne af Ebbs, men det antages, at det allerede blev bygget i det 14. århundrede som et treetagers boligstårn. Herrerne af Ebbs fungerede som dommere i bayerske hertugers tjeneste, og havde fra 1429 til 1438 biskop Johann Ebser af Chiemsee, før de uddøde med Ludwig Ebser i 1494.
