Rocherath og den sammenvoksede landsby Krinkelt udgør den højst beliggende landsby i Belgien: cirka 650 m over havets overflade. Landsbyen ligger ved den smukke å Holzwarche og langs N674, lige over for 6 km øst for Bütgenbach. Den er adskilt fra den tyske grænse af et enormt skovbælte, hvor den fineste gran hersker.
