Tielt er en by og kommune i den belgiske provins Westflanderen. Den ligger i trekanten Gent, Brugge og Kortrijk. Byen har over 20.000 indbyggere og er hovedby i arrondissementet Tielt.
Tielt opstod i perioden 5.-10. århundrede. Den ældste omtale i form af Tiletum stammer fra 1105. Det drejer sig om en omtale af den skat, som ejer af en Tielt villa betalte. Derfor blev der i 2005 afholdt forskellige begivenheder i byen for at fejre '900 år med skrift om Tielt'.
