Galmaarden er en by og kommune i Pajottenland, provinsen Vlaams-Brabant i Belgien. Kommunen består udover Galmaarden også af deltkommune Tollembeek og Vollezele og har over 8800 indbyggere. Den ældste omtale af Galmaarden findes i stiftelsesdokumentet fra Geraardsbergen fra 1068. Galmaardens område var fra de karolingiske tider til det 11. århundrede en del af Brabant. Dengang erobrede greven af Hainaut, som lå syd for Hainaut, en del af grevskabet Brabant. Inden for grevskabet Hainaut tilhørte Galmaarden kasselrij Aat.
