Westerlo er et sted og en kommune i den belgiske provins Antwerpen. Kommunen har mere end 25.000 indbyggere og er hovedbyen i valgkredsen og den retlige kreds Westerlo. Westerlo nævnes første gang i skrifterne omkring år 1000, da det blev givet til kirken i Utrecht af grev Ansfried. Denne gave fandt sted ikke længe efter, at Ansfried på anmodning af kejser Otto III var blevet indviet som biskop af Utrecht.
