I 1870 blev der af Société du chemin de fer international de Malines à Terneuzen oprettet en station i Temse. Bygningen bestod af tre dele: to høje, med tag i kip, og to etager, forbundet af et langt midterstykke med ni fag.
Den nuværende stationsbygning stammer fra 1956, den er designet af arkitekt P.E. Moreels. Bygningen består af en billetkontor, tjenestelokaler og indtil marts 2016, et signalhus. Det sidste er dog i forbindelse med signalhuskoncentrationsplanen overtaget af Dendermonde.
