Denne allerede gamle dam strækker sig syd for byen Kelmis-La Calamine, i kanten af Gueule. Den er omgivet af en mangfoldig vegetation, som inkluderer piletræer, Magnocaricetum og meget attraktive rørskovsområder for de lokale og gennemtrækende vand- og rørfugle (vandrikse, rørsanger, bekalasine ...). Flere arter af sjældne planter findes der, især falsk ris (Leersia oryzoides), et stærkt tilbagegående græs i Vallonien, som her finder sin unikke placering i Herve-landet. I vest for vandet strækker også en interessant Calamin-hald sig.
