Mechelse heide og dalen ved Ziepbeek er et Natura 2000-område i Flandern. Dette område strækker sig fra Dilsen-Stokkem til Lanaken, parallelt med Maasdalen. Det er en del af Nationalparken Hoge Kempen: 3741 ha af parken er afgrænset som en europæisk særlig beskyttelseszone. Dette område består egentlig af en samling af natur- og skovreservater samt domænskove. Landskabet domineres af vidtstrakte hedearealer, omgivet af tætte skove. I indsnævringerne af det stejle skrænt springer små bække frem flankeret af fugtige heder.
