Den gamle stationsbygning blev dengang revnet for at gøre plads til den nuværende restaurant, der ligger på Groene62, en gammel jernbanebed.
Den gamle jernbanebed udgør den ideelle rute for vandrere og cyklister, og derfor er dette et ideelt stop.
Denne grønne akse forbinder Oostende med Torhout. Med sine 22 km er denne gamle jernbane den længste af alle grønne aksler. På ruten er stationen i Moere dog stadig bevaret.
